Instead of saying the usual: This couple was so great, we had a blast, we love our job, blah, blah, blah - which they are and we did and we do. We’re going to try something different. Nothing earth moving different, just different for us and for our couples. Different so we remember what stood out and what made their day unique.

A little bit about the couple:
Adam and Teegan were another wonderful couple for us to work with - they both have a great respect and love for each other that was so clear to see throughout the day. Teegan is planning on becoming a high school teacher and Adam should consider going into the music business. That’s not what he really does, but read on for the full scoop.

What made this wedding different:
I haven’t seen such a colorful wedding in a long time. Color everywhere. Bright reds, pinks, yellows, teals, blues, it was stunning. Their wedding took place at a residence which only a year ago they started beautifying for the event. It looked gorgeous. Smith Rock was the backdrop for the ceremony and many of the photos. What really set this one apart was Adam surprising Teegan with a couple of solos. That’s right, he sang to her in front of EVERYONE. That’s a brave man who is madly in love.

And now for some photos. No slideshow this time - just pictures. Believe it or not, posting a slideshow is much easier. But for those who don’t have time to sit through a show, we’ll mix it up with just images sometimes.

To Marc and Abby - Thank you for sharing your family with us! Three great girls, four if you count Abby… and then there’s Marc. I kid. You were all fun to work with. This is an extra special session because of the new addition to the Spear family, and the fact that they drove from Seattle. As Marc said, “The only thing between us and home, is you guys!”

The Spears adopted little Malia from China earlier this year - and she is a crack up. Aside from being incredibly sweet and snuggley, she makes the funniest faces I’ve seen a baby make. A lot of the slideshow is what most people would consider out takes. The images that usually find their way into the trash because not everyone is looking at the camera with their pretty face. The out takes are my faves! Keep in mind this show is a small sampling, of course we did get some shots with everyone saying cheese - but those are no fun.

Class of 2008 is ready to roll! These guys are gearing up for their final year of high school! YAY! With nothing but promise ahead of them and a whole world of opportunity, this is a group that anyone would love working with.

Meet Matt - soon to be senior and sure to be success. This kid has been working so hard all summer, he barely had time to fit in his senior session. Thanks for squeezing in an hour or so, Matt - we had a great time. All of these stunning locations were at their home, right in their own backyard.

One of these days I’ll try posting a handful of pictures and the slideshow option. I know not everyone wants to sit through these shows. But… for now…

Talk about a great wedding! All of our couples this summer have been so fun, and these two are no exception. Jacquelien and Aaron were an absolute riot to work with!

The weather at Black Butte was beautiful, perfectly warm without being too hot. Gorgeous venue, incredible couple, lots of great people, all in all, another wonderful day out shooting. We’d love to give credit to whoever did hair and makeup for the bridal party. They did a stunning job - I’ll have to look into that and post info on how to get in touch with them if you’re a bride looking for that service.

Aside from the champagne that Aaron spilled on Jacquelien’s dress, and a bit of wind, it was a perfect day! Thanks for including us!

Okay, so this is from waaaay back in July, but it was on my list of things to post and I’m due for another post, so here it is. These are just a few pictures of the kids from our trip to the Lake a little over a month ago. I’ll have some great client stuff… SOON! These were easy to post because they’re just snapshots.
