You can’t say I didn’t warn you. Lots o’ Lucy! But look at this sweet thing - you can’t get enough of those cheeks!
This mass post is it from us until next week. We’ll be away from our computer from today through Monday. If you email, be patient, we’ll get back to you when we’re back. For now - enjoy the many posts and we’ll update more next week. Have a great Thanksgiving!
As I’ve posted before, Lucy and Drew are cousins, little soul cousins separated only by one month, one day, one hour and one minute. Well, that and a state. Lucy lives in Washington with her mom (my sister) and her dad. So, when we do get to see them, the camera comes out and there’s fun to be had. This is from a visit back in October - but I’m just getting around to even looking at these pictures.
and I can’t even believe it! Here is a Christmas card we just did for this adorable family. As much as I love hot chocolate, warm fires, snow ball fights, and all the goodness that Old Man Winter brings - is it reeally almost Christmas!? It can’t be!
and a fun little storyboard of the same sweet family…
and some more pics from our feature family of the week! We don’t really have an official “feature family of the week” - but it sounds fun, so we do this week!
What’s not to love about this couple, and this wedding. Beautiful Fall day, incredible people, amazing planning, fantastic venue, the list goes on. We were so blown away by the hard work of the other vendors there - everyone did such an amazing job making Dainius and Cameron’s day so great - which just makes our job so much more enjoyable.
I could go on and on about these two, but they say that pictures are worth a thousand words. That couldn’t be more true with this couple. So, for once, I’ll keep it short and sweet with the words and give you lots to look at instead.
You can also watch the slideshow at the very end of this post if you’d like.
I can’t tell you how much I love McMenamins, just in general, love their places - all of ‘em. But to shoot a reception at any one of their buildings is a feast for the eyes, a delight for my camera! I’m like a kid in a candy shop anytime I get to shoot there. There are just endless things to take pictures of, natural backdrops with vivid color, fantastic artistry, ah! I love it! And downtown Portland - I could go on for days - what a blast it was to shoot the ceremony AND reception. The buildings there are so old and awesome - can’t wait to go back!
Back to the couple. Sorry. So, these two got married in late September in Portland, always a risk with rain, but it was a fantastic day. The sun was shining. The couple was absolutely adorable and so fun to work with. The wedding day was actually the first time we had met the bride. What’s so great about weddings these days is that we often work with the grooms as much as we do the brides. I think it’s so terrific that grooms are taking part more in the planning process.
Thank you to Eric and Ellen for inviting us to share in your day!
