Happy Easter to everyone! Here’s hoping your egg dying experience doesn’t end up like this!

We’ll be away off and on for about a week, so don’t look for any new blog entries here for a bit. We’re off to Portland for some work and some play. We’ll post some images from the work part the first part of April. Stay tuned. If you need to reach us between now and April 1st, your best bet will be via phone. While we will check in on our email, for the most part, the plan is to be away from any computers.

Wishing you all a very happy Easter and a FUN filled Spring Break!

In all honesty, I’m not (or wasn’t) a “dog person”. It’s not that I didn’t like dogs - I do! I just never really knew what to do with them. They slobber. They lick. They make messes. But…then we got Truman, almost one year ago. This little pup had truly changed my feelings about furry beasts that lick and bark and mess. He is such a part of our family now - I really don’t know what we’d do without him. He and Drew are practically like brothers, Livy uses him as a pillow, Zoey…well, right now, Zoey could do with or without him.
We’ve had a lot of shoots lately where people have brought their pets, and, truth be told, a year ago, I wouldn’t have known what to do with that. But now? Now I love it! I love those little pugs from our last session, and in a bit I’ll post some of Clover, a sweet, sweet dog from another February engagement session.
Anyway…today Truman turns ONE! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRUMAN! I was going to make him his own special cake, but Steve thought that’d be over the top. So I bought him a toy instead.
He looks so serious in these pictures, it cracks me up. He’s the goofiest dog you’ve ever met, but he photographs like he’s some sort of regal beagle.

As promised, I am posting some photos from this session. I guess instead of saying I’d do it in a day or two, I should have said a week or two. I want to take a minute to praise single mothers. Steve has been gone a lot lately at meetings, visiting family, etc. I shouldn’t really complain that I’ve had to be a single parent for hardly any time at all. But, wow! Another adult makes all the difference. That’s my praise to single mothers, and my excuse for not updating the blog.
Danielle and Brandon are an adorable couple we met in February who have two almost as adorable pugs. And here they are:

I really don’t care for the month of February. It reminds me that it’s still winter. It teases me with it’s clear skies and sunshine. It lies to me. It makes me feel like I can wear a short sleeved shirt - when I can’t. I love sunshine. I love to be warm. I live for June through September. Yay for March! March ushers in the spring. March brings green back to the trees. March is just one month closer to June finally arriving, and for that I say hooorah!
In celebration of March - here is my FAVORITE picture from February. I have more from this session, which I’ll post tomorrow or the next day - but I had to let this picture have some space all to itself. Look at those dogs. They are SO funny. Maybe it’s just me.
